The queen of talk, Oprah Winfrey, broadcast her show live from the Central Park in New York.
The Chicago-based show travelled to the SummerStage in the New York park on Friday. Hundreds of lucky fans joined her for the live taping which included guests like singer Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon, Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa.
“This is the most amazing event,” said Betty Stryker, a fan of Oprah. “She choreographs everything perfectly. She is a mentor to all people. She is an inspiration to the world and single-handedly moving everyone forward to do the good things.”
Emily Weprich, one of the audience members, said it was like seeing an old friend: “I feel like Oprah’s everyone’s best friend. So I get to see one of my best friends today.”
During the show, Oprah was joined by surprise guests Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman, stars of Broadway’s “A Steady Rain.”
New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg made an appearance and Carey performed a song from her new album, “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.”
