Pakistan has now said that India could have avoided the 26/11 terror attacks. Interior Minister Rehman Malik says, before acting on the Interpol notice against Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Saeed, they need to examine the evidence against him.

“Mumbai attacks may have never happened if India shared information with us,” said Malik.

In Pakistan’s first reaction to the Interpol Red Corner notice issued against terror mastermind Hafiz Saeed, Malik said he needed to examine the evidence first provided by India on the basis of which Interpol issued a Red Corner notice. “Red corner notice on Saeed… I will examine it, what is the underlying evidence in it. There are certain procedures to accept the notice. We will never allow our side to be used against anybody.”

Malik said Ansari was arrested much before the Mumbai attacks. Had the Indian authorities shared that info with Pakistan, Mumbai may not have happened.
