There was a bomb scare on the Kolkata-bound Indigo Airlines flight number 203 on Wednesday at the Delhi airport.
As the news broke out, the bomb disposal squad was rushed to the airport, and the plane was taken to a remote bay. The airlines has now said that no bomb was found on the flight.
According the sources, the airlines got a call at 3:30 pm on Wednesday saying there was a bomb on the flight to Kolkata, following which 124 passengers on board were evacuated.
The call was made to Indigo’s call centre that a bomb has been placed in the Delhi-Kolkata flight (No: 6E203), an airport official said.
The flight was actually to take off at 3:30 pm but was rescheduled because the airport was closed for about two hours as part of a security drill ahead of Independence Day celebrations.
Indigo Airlines has said that all the passengers are safe.
